Yangtze River cruises, Li River rafts, Huangpu night cruises and harbour sailings — cabins and decks reserved in advance.
The four-night Chongqing to Yichang route through the Three Gorges is the flagship. Cabins range from basic to genuinely luxurious and the difference between ships is large, which is why we show you the exact vessel before you pay rather than describing a category.
We book balcony cabins as standard, arrange halal or no-pork dining where the ship can provide it, and handle the Chongqing and Yichang transfers on both ends. We will tell you honestly which ships can do halal for your dates and which cannot.
The four-hour Guilin to Yangshuo cruise is the most beautiful half-day in China, and the boat class matters more than the ticket price suggests. We book the upper-deck four-star vessels with proper windows and open deck space; the cheaper boats are crowded and the views are through small windows.
Add a bamboo raft on the Yulong River for the more intimate version — 40 minutes on still water between the peaks.
Shanghai's Huangpu River night cruise runs between the Bund and Pudong and takes about 90 minutes. Hong Kong, China's Star Ferry crossing costs a few dollars and is arguably the best value sightseeing in Asia, while the Victoria Harbour evening sailings are the more comfortable option.
We book whichever suits and can pair a cruise with a dinner reservation on the waterfront.
Cruise and boat tickets are available as standalone bookings with no tour package. Tell us the river, the dates and the number of passengers and we will send cabin options and prices in writing.
